FAQewws!
1. How does it work?
You find an interesting yet disgusting fact or story and submit it
to our site to share with others. The story can be about anything
but preferably first hand knowledge and absolutely true. The fact
should be researchable for our team to verify. You can also submit
gross photos of things you may come across during your daily grind.
Just be sure to tell us what it is.
Once a fact, story or photo is live on the app users will be allowed
to vote, “Eww! That’s Gross” or “Not Gross Enough!”
2. Are these facts
really true?
There are two types of facts available. Those submitted by our team
and those submitted by you. The tidbits of info our team provides
has all been researched. We will do the same for those being
submitted to help ensure you are getting verifiable information. The
stories are not verifiable and we rely solely on the integrity (or
imagination) of our users.
3. I don’t see my
submission, what gives?
Your submission is sent to our moderator who either verifies a fact,
ensures there are limited duplications and appropriate content for
Apple standards. Due to the amount of submissions this sometimes
takes a few days to approve or decline.
4. Why did my
submission get rejected?
The fact was verifiable or already exists in our database. The story
or photo was just a little too much and didn’t want to risk scarring
users for life.
5. Why can’t I see this
content on your website?
We are currently only
offering the content through the iTunes App Store for 99 cents. The
website is a fast, convenient way to upload your facts, story or
photos.
6. Can I find any
other information about ETG on the web?
Yes. You can join our Facebook fan page at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Eww-Thats-Gross/127036495125
where you can view and submit gross videos and share messages with
other users or us. We can also be found on Twitter, http://twitter.com/EWWthatsgross,
where an interesting gross fact is posted several times a week. Also
check out our MySpace page at
http://www.myspace.com/ewwthatsgrossdude.
7. None of my
questions have been answered, now what?
